Designed as a Lightweight fire hose coupling with protective shoulder.

  • Our innovative patented* MERLITE™ 2x2½ is a lightweight 2 ½ inch (64mm) fire hose coupling that facilitates greater flow for a 2 inch (51mm) fire hose
  • A protective shoulder protects the male threads from damage
  • Half the weight (approximately) of competitive couplings. The nearly 1 ½ pound (0.7 Kg) weight reduction per set is an important feature for firefighters in high rise / standpipe operations
  • Available with our Mertex Wayout® engraved reflective arrows (patent pending) that assist in guiding the way out. These couplings also come with the Identify® recessed area for color coding, bar coding and/or identification markings
  • Our anodized process provides added resistance to abrasion, salt and corrosion
  • The coupling is available in standard or gold color, as shown
  • Two Year All Hazards Warranty and 10 years against manufacturing defects
